Welcome!

We are currently still working on this website, so we may be down from time to time. We do have our old face back on though and for that we are very happy! It seems to be a continuous work and probably will be for some time. Maybe as long as this web site exists. We are always looking for new content and new information to share with you.

All previous members that are not able to login need to re-register as we have had to clear the old database. It's free and only takes a few minutes so it should be easy enough for everyone to do in a short time. I have not been around for awhile due to illness so I know that some who have registered did not get approved before the time ran out, so if you did register and did not get approved, please do try again.

We hope you enjoy the new things on our web site. It will be awhile before we get some of the old features back and we won't have all of them back because having too many things slows the web site down to a crawl which is very frustrating for many, especially those with slow connections.

We will be working on the e-cards. It is my intention to more consistently update them so there is more frequently new content to share. I love to send my friends and family e-cards and I know that I love receiving them, so keep an eye on the e-cards to see what is new and send an e-card to someone you love. They are completely free.

Also don't forget to check out the book reviews in the forums and vote if you have read the books. I do read a lot and plan to sell some of the books I have read. I am setting up a used bookstore that will be integrated with the site so please watch for that and for great money saving deals on used books! All proceeds from the sales of used books will be put back into the community to help pay for the web site at this time. We will also be starting to take free will offerings to support the web site and we are hoping to receive enough to start supporting world missions or other Christian charities at some point. There are so many needs in this world and we know we can't do it all, but maybe together we can do something, even if it's small. Please pray about it and if God puts it on your heart to help, you will be able to donate through paypal as soon as the cart is set up. It's important to keep the web site going first as it has blessed many people over the years and continues to bless many who are not able to receive God's word and Christian fellowship in their countries of origin. If you are a Christian and would like to help with anything on the site, please use the contact feature to let us know what you would like to do and what your ideas are. We would love to have you participate in whatever way the Lord leads you.

Thank you to our loyal site members and also to all of our visitors for visiting our community site. Please let us know if there is anything you would like to see on our site. I am certain that some of you really miss the online Bible we had on the web site and the games. Both of those were huge space eaters and had to be removed. If at some time, we are able to get a bigger server, I promise they will be reinstated.

God bless you all,
Marie Alline

Holiday : Happy Memorial Day
on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 - 04:10 PM IDLW Posted by : Admin
News

Memorial Day is quickly approaching and I want to wish you all a beautiful and safe Memorial Holiday weekend. Please remember to thank and to pray for our heroes at home and overseas.

There is much history surrounding this holiday, and I remember well the veterans handing out poppies and wearing them on this day as a child. If you see a veteran handing out poppies, please remember to thank them for their service to this great country and wear your poppies proudly all day on Memorial Day. This wonderful tradition was inspired by a poem written in 1915 by Moina Michael...

"We cherish too, the poppy red
That grows on fields, where valor led;
It seems to signal to the skies
That blood of heroes never dies."

      ~Moina Michael, 1915~

God bless you,

Hello everyone! This update is a little late as I have been very sick, but am back on the road to recovery again. A little antibiotics go a long way! Praise God for the gift of doctors and others who help us be well and if it wasn't for antibiotics, I and many others would most likely not have survived past infancy. It's amazing how blessed we really are!

I hope you have had a chance to visit the photo gallery to see the Israel album. Our sister Hazel has shared those pictures with us. They are of her trip to the Holy Land. It has inspired me to look up some some of those places and names in the Bible to find out more about them. You kind of see many of the stories of the Bible in a different light after viewing some of those places. I can't imagine what it would be like to visit there or live there! It must be really awesome to see the places where Jesus walked! Thank you Hazel for sharing with us!

4-12-07

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter Holiday! It was cold here but the sun shone and we all had fun. The girls had their annual easter egg hunt and had a ball. We all ate too much as usual and as always I cooked way too much food! After all the planning, cooking and baking, dessert was only a second thought for most of us. Cleanup was a breeze with all of the help though, so that was great!

I want to update you all with what's going on here on the web site and let you know that the new chat is up and running. I am in there from time to time and I have scaled our chat way down to one simple chat room. The chat is so simple and easy to use, because it is so simply made and uses very few resources. You are welcome to get together with your online friends, and have a chat session at any time, as long as no one else is using it. If I am there, please come on in and say hello and fellowship. I'd love to meet you! Please be courteous in the chat room.

We will also soon be starting a Top Sites Exchange for top Christian Sites and other categories. If you have a website you are welcome to add yours. At the present time, we do not have a links page and most of the links we had up are old and outdated, so this is our best solution right now.

Also don't forget to check out our recipe exchange at http://footprints-family-recipes.com . There are new recipes posted frequently and we would love to have you join us and share some of your own. We will be adding a latest recipes block on the homepage soon, but right now I am working on our theme and trying to get our theme to work properly so we can have more blocks on the home page.

Have a great week every one! God bless you!
